Double 8 Alpaca Ranch

Double 8 Alpaca Ranch is located in beautiful western Loudoun County, Virginia which is approximately 50 miles from Washington, DC. We have been raising alpacas and harvesting alpaca fleece in a sustainable and healthy way for ourselves and our community since 2005. We chose to raise alpacas due to their gentle nature and exquisite fleece or fiber. Concentrating on sound conformation, reproduction, noteable genetics, temperament, and fleece characteristics are the main goals of Double 8's breeding program.

The fiber that is harvested is either sent to mill or hand processed here at the farm. We sell raw fiber, roving, yarn, and products such as socks, hats, scarves, gloves made from our fiber. Our alpacas are used by local youth who do not live on farms in our newly chartered 4-H club. Our farm has many gentle animals such as horses, alpacas, chickens and dogs that provide unconditional love to anyone who visits.

Double 8 Alpaca Ranch offers an array of services, such as consulting and training new alpaca farmers, farm tours, weddings, birthdays, and educational events for local school, 4-H, girl-scouts and boy-scouts. Call or email us to book your event!
